Mildred and Jerry

Welcome!

We are Jerry and Mildred Petersen. We are missionaries at Radio HRGS on the island of Roatán, just off the north coast of Honduras. Radio HRGS is a ministry of Bible Basics International, located just outside Tampa, Florida.

We joined Bible Basics in 1999 and came to Roatán for a two year, temporary assignment in 2001. We fell in love with the radio ministry and the island people here. When our son, Jesse, married in 2006, we were beginning to make plans to move back here permanently. The Lord brought to us a buyer for our house in late spring 2007 and we arrived here – thanks to the help of many wonderful friends – on July 15, 2007.

Our son, Jesse, helped us to set up this blog to keep friends, family, and supporters up to date on the happenings here at “Casa Petersen” and Radio HRGS. Now the blog has expanded to provide a way for me to share another passion – photography. I’m not in the photo-selling business, but if you appreciate the beauty of God’s creation, I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures I’ve put up for display in the photo gallery.
