Audio Update – Week of December 21, 2009

by Jerry on December 22, 2009

OK gang, we’re just about ready for Christmas here. We all get to pretty much take off Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but we’ll have to take turns monitoring to make sure we stay on the air. And someone will have to check the satellite downloads for each of those days. That means I’ll have a busy day tomorrow. I’ll need to prerecord Sunrise Serenade and also set up a special prerecorded Request and Dedication for Friday. Since Thursday is Mildred’s and my day off, that means I have to do it tomorrow. But I’ll also be busy helping our computer/network guru up in Tampa to get our new Internet firewall set up. I wonder if I can manage all of those. I guess we’ll see.

Tonight, Mildred is next door at a baby shower. We’ve had a full week – or at least it would have been full if I felt better. There were a few things we skipped because I seem to have gotten the latest bug going around. It started in my throat like it always does. Usually, it next goes to the sinuses, but it skipped that this time, and now I’m starting to feel it in the chest. I’ve been getting lots and lots of sleep, and I think that’s helping a lot. But I think the biggest help is a result of the many people who have been praying for me to get over this quickly.

Now here is our Christmas week version of the HRGS Audio Update. I’ll try to get back here to the blog before Christmas, but if I don’t get to it, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
