Hot, Humid, and Almost Perfect

by Jerry on April 14, 2009

That just about sums up today. Yesterday was so windy that Peter had no chance of aligning the antennas and the forcast was for more wind today. We’re glad the forecast was dead wrong and the winds were dead calm. It was really muggy, but the calm air that was part and parcel with the humidity was just what Peter needed in order to get those eight new antennas aligned. They look great up there.

I included a few shots, most of which Peter took to see if we could give any of our readers vertigo. They give me the heebie-jeebies.

Frederick and Peter invented and built a bracket to hold the ship’s compass we borrowed, which allowed Peter to finally have some confidence he was pointed in the right direction. Peter dubbed it the “XBH-107-F”. Note the generous use of duct tape. Red Green would be proud! By the way,I think he labeled the equipment rack I built the “XBH-108-C.”

Anyway, it’s getting late, so I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking. Thanks for praying.

Thanks Jeremy. I didn’t know you were a tower monkey. ;-) I’ll keep that in mind.

Jerry I can’t understand why a photo bug like you, wouldn’t be up there just clicking away. Instead you guys only let Peter have all the enjoyment

Hi Bob. Yep, it’s incredible. I’d love to go up there I shoot away. But when I get to about 30′ the brain says keep going, but the knocking knees refuse.
