K-9 Vandals Providential?

Who would have thought that animals, probably dogs, spreading our garbage around the yard could be a good thing – a money saver, actually?
I looked out the front window this morning and someone (Dogs could not do this.) had lifted our trash barrel two feet straight up and put it on the ground beside the corral we keep the barrels in to prevent stuff like that. The critters had ripped open the plastic trash bags and, thanks to our blessed sea breezes, stuff was strewn over an area of several hundred square feet. What a fantastic way to begin a Sunday morning! I was really looking forward to walking around picking up individual tea bags and chasing down napkins that were moving almost as fast as I could run. The ant covered egg shells were a special treat. Not!!

But when I picked up one of the shredded plastic bags, underneath it was a Tupperware lid – an unchewed Tupperware lid in perfect condition. When I brought it in and asked Mildred why it was in the trash, she said she didn’t know why it was there, but that she had been looking for it. Mildred is always finding stuff for me. In fact, just this morning, she found my nail clippers for me. To make it even more embarrassing, I had just checked the exact location where she had found them. So it was satisfying this morning to finally find something she had been looking for. But I’m pretty sure I could have dreamed up a less unpleasant way to do it.
