Well, I guess we just plain missed a week on the audio update. It was quite a hectic week last week. As I type this we are waiting to hear from Travis & Emily Mitten. We believe they landed a few minutes ago in San Pedro Sula on the mainland. Their flight from the U.S. was greatly delayed while the airline staff hunted down an airplane that would work. So they landed with only one hour to deplane, go through customs, and deal with LOTS of luggage. It’s most likely that they will not get through that in time and will need to spend the night in San Pedro Sula. I guess they are getting an introduction to the constant up hill work involved in getting anything accomplished here. There is what I think is a satanic resistance to almost everything we do here. So we will either pick them up in a couple of hours or at some unknown time tomorrow. We’ll just have to stay flexible, as usual.
Here now is this week’s audio update. Next week, Lord willing, we may have another voice for you to hear. I hope you’ll pray for the Mitten family and their adjustment to life here and their integration into this wonderful ministry.
If you would pray for me, too, I’d appreciate that. I’ve had occasional episodes of vertigo for about 20 years. Last weekend, it got so severe that I could not sit upright without vomiting. In fact, I couldn’t sit up without falling over! It is much better now, but I still feel it. Yesterday I discovered and began a two week long series of exercises that are reported to be very effective in treating it.
